Directions:
1. Prepare the whole wheat spaghetti according to the directions on the package. Drain and set aside. Reserve 3 tablespoons of the cooking liquid.
2. In a bowl, add in the ground turkey, ground flaxseed, grated Parmesan cheese and beaten egg. Season with a dash of salt and black pepper. Stir well to mix. Shape into 8 balls.
3. In a skillet set over medium heat, add in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add in the meatballs. Cook for 10 minutes or until browned. Transfer into a baking dish and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add in another tablespoon of olive oil. Lower the heat to low and add in the garlic. Cook for 1 minute or until aromatic.
5. Add in the chopped tomatoes and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir well to mix.
6. Increase the heat of the stove to medium or high heat. Add in the cooked meatballs. Season with a dash of salt. Continue to cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce is thick in consistency.
7. Add in the cooked whole wheat spaghetti and reserved liquid. Toss well to mix.
8. Serve immediately.
